Educational Qualification

Principal, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Posts under the School & Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha the required Educational Qualification.

Principal:

Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
B.Ed (Bachelor in Education) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
Experience: Persons holding analogous post or Post of Principal / Vice-Principal / Asst. Education Officers in Central/ State Govt. / Autonomous Organization of the Central/State Govt. with combined services of 03 years as PGT and 02 years as Vice –Principal.

Teaching Staff

For Trained Graduate Teacher (TGTs) Posts:

Four years integrated Degree course in the concerned subject from any Institution recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.
OR
Bachelor Degree in Arts & Science in the concerned subjects with 50% in aggregate.
Degree in Bachelor in Education/ 3 years integrated B.A B.Ed (a course prescribed by the NCTE) from an Institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
Proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.

Other Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff

For Physical Education Teacher (PET) Posts:

Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Physical Education i.e. B.P.Ed./ M.P.Ed. (a course prescribed by NCTE) from a recognized University/Institution.
Proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.

B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Science or I.T./MCA/M.Sc. I.T/ M.Sc./ ‘B’ Level of DOEACC / NIELIT/ B.C.A/B.Sc Computer Science from a recognized University.

For Librarian Posts:

Bachelor degree in Library Science.
OR
Graduate with one year Diploma in Library Science from a recognized institution.
Working knowledge in Odia & English.
