Educational Qualification
Civilian Motor Driver, Vehicle Mechanic, Fireman, Labourer and Carpenter Posts under Group-C Posts the required NIFT Eligibility of Educational Qualification.
Civilian Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade):
- Class 10th (Matriculation) Passed from any recognized Board.
- Civilian Driving Licence for Heavy Vehicles
- 2 Years’ Experience
Vehicle Mechanic:
- Class 10th (Matriculation) Passed from any recognized Board.
- Capable of Reading Number and Names of Tools and Vehicles both in English and Hindi
- 1 Year Experience
Fireman:
- Class 10th (Matriculation) Passed from any recognized Board.
- Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipment’s, fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches.
- Must be familiar with the use and maintenance, first-aid, firefighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
- Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of the fire crew.
- Must be Physically Fit and Capable of Performing Strenuous Duties
Must have passed the Physical Fitness as under:
- Height without Shoes: 165 Cm
- Chest (un-expanded): 81.5 Cm
- Chest (on-expansion): 85 Cm
- Weight: 50 Kg
Labourer:
- Class 10th (Matriculation) Passed from any recognized Board.
Carpenter:
- Class 10th (Matriculation) Passed from any recognized Board
- Knowledge of Carpentry

- Carrying a man: Fireman Lift of 65.5 Kg to a distance of 183 metres within 96 seconds
- Clearing 2.7 metres wide ditch landing on both feet (long jumps).
- Climbing 3 metres vertical rope using hands and feet.
Ministry of Defence Group C Syllabus
General Intelligence & Reasoning:
The test may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship arithmetical-computation and other analytical
functions.
General Awareness:
The questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/ her and its application to society. The test will include questions relating to current events, India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc.
English Language:
Candidates understanding the basics of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc. his/her writing ability would be tested.
Numerical Aptitude:
This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, use of Table and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work etc.
