Educational Qualification
Trade Apprentices, Diploma Apprentices, and Graduate Apprentices Posts require the required Educational Qualification.
Trade Apprentice:
- ITI Pass Certificate in the respective Trade from any recognized Institute.
Diploma Apprentice:
- Diploma Pass Certificate in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government/ by a University/ by an Institute recognized by the State or Central Government as equivalent to a diploma in the respective Discipline.
Graduate Apprentice:
- Graduate Degree in engineering/ technology streams or general streams such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com., etc., including sandwich courses granted by a College / University recognized by AICTE/ UGC/ State Government/ Central Government.

NPCIL Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
Trade Apprentices, Diploma Apprentices, and Graduate Apprentices posts-wise Vacancy applying candidates will be selected in stages.
- Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in their ITI/ Diploma/ Graduation course.
- Priority Criteria: If many candidates have the same marks or for general selection, the following order will be followed:
- Priority 1: Land losers whose land was taken for the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project.
- Priority 2: Local Candidates from Radhapuram Taluk.
- Priority 3: Candidates from Tirunelveli District.
- Priority 4: Candidates from Tamil Nadu.
- Priority 5: All other candidates.
- If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be preferred
